Are you an experienced Workday Senior Manager with expertise in Workday Finance, ERP optimisation, and enterprise system leadership?

Join a leading organisation seeking a senior leader to drive the design, optimisation and delivery of Workday solutions across finance and related business domains. You’ll combine deep functional expertise with team leadership, stakeholder management and system strategy to maximise the value of the Workday platform across the enterprise.

About the role

You will lead the evaluation, design and implementation of Workday Finance solutions, acting as a subject matter expert across key domains such as accounting, budgeting, and financial data modelling. Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll manage a team, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and ensure scalable, high‑quality system capabilities that drive operational efficiency and business value.

What you’ll do

• Design, configure and implement complex Workday Finance solutions
• Act as a subject matter expert across domains such as financial accounting, budgets, assets and data models (FDM)
• Translate business requirements into scalable system configurations and enhancements
• Manage Workday support, including ticket resolution, upgrades and enhancements
• Lead testing cycles for system changes, releases and fixes
• Drive continuous improvement across Workday modules and business processes
• Partner with stakeholders to gather, validate and prioritise requirements
• Support change management, documentation and communication for system updates
• Coordinate cross‑functional testing, release readiness and implementation activities
• Oversee team operations, task prioritisation and delivery quality
• Mentor and develop team members to strengthen Workday capabilities and performance

What we’re looking for

Experience

• 7+ years of Workday experience including sustainment, configuration or implementation
• 10+ years of business operations experience in finance, accounting or related areas
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Hands‑on experience across Workday Finance domains such as cash and banking, customer accounts, assets and financial accounting
• Strong accounting background (CPA or controller experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field

Skills

• Strong expertise in Workday configuration, design and solution delivery
• Deep understanding of financial data modelling (FDM)
• Ability to design and implement scalable ERP solutions
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing change control, documentation and governance processes

Nice to have

• Workday Pro or implementation certification
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or higher education
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and optimisation
• Willingness to obtain Workday certification within 12 months
