Job Description

School Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Full-Time | Year-Round School Setting | Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Willow Academy is thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dedicated team in a structured, supportive school setting. This is a uniquely impactful role where you can bring your ABA expertise into a collaborative educational environment designed to help students build the skills needed to successfully transition to less restrictive settings.

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a ground up program that will be focusing on merging the best qualities of in-center ABA services with the atmosphere of a school environment. You’ll work closely with students with intensive behavioral needs, lead a small and manageable caseload, and receive ongoing clinical mentorship and development.

Why join the Willow Academy team?

At Willow Academy, we want our employees to know they are secure, significant, and accepted. We understand that stepping into a school setting, especially one supporting students with intensive behavioral needs, can be overwhelming. That’s why we provide robust training, daily collaboration, and ongoing clinical mentorship. Your onboarding will be tailored to your learning style to ensure you feel confident and supported before taking on independent responsibilities.

Just like we teach our students to embrace their differences, we encourage our team to do the same. Your unique perspectives and strengths are not only welcome - they are needed.

We're a small, family-owned organization that prioritizes the wellbeing of our staff and students. Caseloads are intentionally kept small, and you’ll be supported by a comprehensive administrative and clinical team so you can focus on what matters most: delivering meaningful, high-quality care.

What makes this role different?

  • Year-Round Stability: Enjoy the rhythm of the school year while maintaining year-round employment.
  • Team-Based Model: Work in close partnership with RBTs, teachers, school leadership, and families.
  • Opportunities to Specialize: Receive additional safety care training and ongoing clinical development for working with students who present with high-intensity behaviors.
  • Room to Grow: Our leadership invests in your long-term goals, providing individualized mentorship and pathways for professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing oversight and development of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming for a small caseload of students. (Between 4-5 students depending on need)
  • Collaborate with educational staff to design and adapt strategies that support student learning and behavior regulation in the classroom.
  • Coach and supervise RBTs in implementing programming with fidelity, including modeling, feedback, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Conduct assessments (e.g., FBA, VB-MAPP, ABLLS, etc.) and write data-driven reports that guide programming.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families and school stakeholders to ensure program alignment across environments.
  • Train school staff in ABA principles, behavior supports, and data collection procedures.
  • Ensure programming is implemented ethically and in alignment with BACB standards and relevant school policies.
  • Participate in school team meetings, IEP development, and progress presentations as needed.
  • Complete documentation in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation in coordination with trained team members.
  • Other clinical and consultative duties as needed.

What we are seeking:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Comfort and confidence supporting students with intensive behavior needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Trauma-informed mindset and compassionate, student-centered approach
  • Availability Monday–Friday 8-4pm for on-site work

Preferred:

  • Experience in school or classroom settings
  • Experience with curriculum development or academic programming in school-based environments
  • Familiarity with Central Reach
  • Physical ability to safely support students when needed (e.g., elopement response, lifting, blocking)

Benefits:

  • Medical/Dental/Vision insurance
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability
  • Paid time off (3 weeks in your first year)
  • 8 paid holidays
  • Parental leave
  • 401(k) retirement plan (4% employer match with no vesting period)
  • Eligible for Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association (CO PERA) benefits
  • Ongoing training and CEU support
  • Performance incentives based on quarterly performance evaluations
  • Flexible spending account
  • Health savings account
  • Full administrative support for billing, scheduling, and authorizations
  • Significant collaboration via mentors and consistent support
  • Trainings on topics that matter to you
  • Professional development assistance and growth opportunities
