Laboratory Technician

Morrisville NC

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our characterization team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will support our scientists and engineers by preparing samples, operating analytical instruments, and maintaining rigorous records of experimental data. This is a hands-on, instrument-heavy position ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, safety, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Strong support of a safety culture; working knowledge of PPE requirements and lab safety protocols
• Preparation and testing of solutions as directed by Scientists and/or Engineers
• Operation of analytical instruments according to SOPs, with preference for experience on:
• Auto-Titrator
• TIC / TOC / TN Analyzer
• Surface Area Analysis (BET)
• TGA / DSC (Thermal Analysis)
• FTIR Spectroscopy
• Gas Chromatography (GC)
• Process Gas Analysis
• Accurate record-keeping using a laboratory notebook
• Experience authoring or contributing to SOPs under scientific guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of equivalent laboratory experience considered in lieu of degree
• Must be willing to work on-site in Morrisville, NC M-F.
