Job Description

Title: Distributed Antenna Systems installation field technician

Base Location: TX, Dallas

Duration: 3 months-Contract to Hire (C2H) After that Fulltime– (based on performance)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled DAS Installation Field Technician to support the deployment of

Distributed Antenna Systems across various customer sites. This role is 100% onsite and

requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing DAS

equipment, running and terminating cables, and working safely in active construction

and commercial environments.-out.

Key Responsibilities

- Install DAS infrastructure including headend racks, remotes, antennas, splitters,

couplers, and related RF components.

- Perform coax, Cat6A, and fiber cable runs, including routing, dressing, labeling, and

securing pathways.

- Terminate and test coax (RF connectors), Cat6A (RJ45), and fiber (LC/SC) to meet project

and industry standards.

- Assist with headend build-outs, including mounting equipment, grounding, power

connections (low-voltage), and cable management.

- Install and align antennas and remotes according to design drawings and construction

plans.

- Operate scissor lifts and other site equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA

guidelines.

- Read and interpret DAS design documents, floor plans, riser diagrams, and installation

standards.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of cabling, connectivity, and equipment issues.

- Maintain accurate daily documentation including cable logs, material usage, and

installation progress.

- Work collaboratively with project managers, RF engineers, and construction teams to

ensure high-quality installations.

- Travel 100% to customer sites across multiple states as required.

Required Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in DAS, low-voltage, telecom, or structured cabling installation.

- Proficiency in running, terminating, and testing coax, Cat6A, and fiber.

- Ability to install and mount headend equipment, remotes, and antennas.

- Experience operating scissor lifts; certification preferred.

- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, RF design documents, and installation

standards.

- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in ceilings, risers, and construction environments.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with DAS OEMs such as SoLiD, JMA, Commscope, Corning, ADRF, or

Nextivity.

- Familiarity with sweep/PIM testing (not required but a plus).

- OSHA 10/30 certification.

- Fiber certification or hands-on splicing experience.

Work Schedule

- 100% onsite travel to customer locations.

- Work may include nights, weekends, or extended shifts depending on project needs.

- Construction, commercial, and enterprise environments.
