Equal Access is partnering with a well-established New York based real estate management firm seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing (Affordable Housing Lease-ups) . With over 40 years of experience in multifamily housing operations. The company specializes in affordable, rent-stabilized, senior, and LIHTC communities across the NY/NJ metropolitan area. Known for long-term property retention and strong agency partnerships, they deliver stable, compliance-driven management.

Position Summary

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing strategic marketing initiatives to promote our affordable housing communities and organizational mission. This role oversees all marketing operations, ensuring brand consistency, compliance with housing regulations, and impactful outreach that drives occupancy and community engagement. The Director will manage a team of marketing professionals and collaborate with property management, leasing, and external partners to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with

organizational objectives and housing program requirements.

• Ensure consistent branding across all platforms, campaigns, and

materials.

• Direct multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media) to

advertise housing opportunities and community programs.

• Lead and mentor marketing staff, fostering a culture of creativity,

accountability, and performance excellence.

• Establish KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and adjust strategies

based on data insights.

• Ensure all marketing activities adhere to fair housing laws and regulatory

guidelines.

• Partner with leasing, property management, and community engagement

teams to support occupancy goals and resident outreach.

• Identify emerging trends and technologies to enhance marketing

effectiveness and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related

field (Master’s preferred).

• 7+ years in marketing leadership roles, preferably in housing, real estate,

or nonprofit sectors.

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing

strategies.

• Expertise in digital marketing, branding, and campaign management.

• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

• Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools (Google Analytics, CRM

systems, Adobe Creative Suite).

• Familiarity with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD) is highly

desirable.

• Strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and passionate about

community development and housing equity.
