POSITION OVERVIEW

The Part-Time RN, MA, CNA or LPN will be mainly covering overnight shift. A key member of the research team performing Phase I-IV industry-sponsored clinical trials and is responsible for performing clinical tasks and monitoring of patients participating in clinical trials. You would be responsible for monitoring the patient to ensure safety while safeguarding the integrity and quality of clinical trials. Responsible for communicating appropriately with patients, investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), and other study team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receive patients, explain procedures, check vital signs, monitor reactions, and report to Principal Investigators and Clinical Research Coordinators.
2. Ensure each patient enjoys a positive experience in a warm, comfortable, and inviting environment.
3. Maintain warmth of character and medical professionalism.
4. Manage emergency situations (with physician assistance), if required.
5. All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Experienced and confident in medical knowledge and clinical standards of practice.
2. Adept at performing clinical tasks including phlebotomy.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Outstanding customer service and presentation skills.
5. Kind, friendly, warm character and a reassuring manner with patients.
6. Strong critical thinking skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:

One of the following active Florida credentials:

1. Registered Nurse (RN)
2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
3. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
4. Medical Assistant (MA; CMA/RMA preferred)
5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
6. Active license/certification in good standing (as applicable to role)
7. Advanced certifications (as applicable), such as ACLS preferred.

Experience

1. Minimum of one (1) year of current clinical experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, and reaching.
2. Must be physically able to assist patients as needed, and able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
