Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for an Armed Security Guard based in Norfolk, VA. The Armed Security Guard will provide a secure environment by patrolling designated areas, monitoring premises, and responding to any incidents or emergencies. Key responsibilities include enforcing property rules, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining a visible and professional presence. This role requires situational awareness, effective communication, and adherence to security procedures at all times.

Hours: Monday-Friday 11am-3pm

Part-Time 20 hours per week

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in security practices, access control, and emergency response protocols
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor
• Ability to maintain awareness, attention to detail, and handle conflict peacefully
• Proficiency in the safe handling of firearms and a valid state or local firearms license
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are a plus
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and work independently or within a team
• Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or related fields preferred
• Capacity to stay calm and act decisively in stressful or emergency situations
